BUYER GUIDE · TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS

Which penetration test does your business need?

Choose coverage from the systems and decisions that matter.

Start with the business question

Are you checking internet exposure, a compromised staff account or a customer application? External, internal and web tests answer different questions. A combined engagement may be appropriate, but broader coverage needs a clear objective.

Match the test to the asset

External testing covers agreed public-facing infrastructure. Internal testing examines agreed private network paths. Web and API testing examines application behaviour and access controls. Cloud configuration reviews and vulnerability scans can complement these tests but are separate activities unless included.

Define the perspective

A black-box test starts with limited information. Grey-box testing uses some knowledge or access, such as an ordinary account. White-box testing provides broader information. Agree the perspective, credentials and expected coverage before testing.

Ask before accepting a quotation

Confirm the asset list, exclusions, testing window, communication arrangements, report format and retesting terms. Choose a scope that can support the decision you need to make, rather than simply comparing day rates.
